27th Day of Protest at CSKHPKV Palampur
All the teachers of Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University Teachers Association (HPAUTA) and Veterinary and Animal Science Teachers Associations ( VASTA) of CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyala Palampur were on 27th day of protest at College of Agriculture from 1.30 to 2.00 pm. Teachers want announcement by the Government for immediate implementation of 7th UGC pay scale in the universities and colleges of state. Teachers were wearing black badge from 10am to 5pm.
Dr Janardan Singh, President, HPAUTA shared the updates among the members. He told that cabinet meeting may occur on 23rd of June2022 but there is negligible chance of inclusion of agenda item of teachers UGC pay scale in cabinet meeting. It seems that teachers’ issue is not important for the Government.
Dr Geetanjali Singh, Dr Parveen Sharma and Dr Ajay Katoch also addressed the members. Dr Poonam also expressed her view points regarding course of action in the light of non inclusion of agenda item of teachers UGC pay scale in the forthcoming cabinet meeting. Dr Janardan Singh apprised the house that meeting of joint action committee may occur tonight for discussion in respect of the future course of action.
