Inspection of Old Bridge Conducted by Chief Engineer J.L. Thakur of PWD Kullu

The foundation of the old bridge in Bhuntar, which had been affected by floods, has been completely damaged, resulting in the closure of the bridge. J.L. Thakur, the Chief Engineer of the Mechanical Division of the Public Works Department, Kullu, inspected the bridge on Saturday and assured the public of upcoming actions.
During the inspection of the bridge on Saturday, the SDIO (Sub-Divisional Infrastructure Officer) stated that the foundation of the bridge has been completely destroyed, and it will have to be redesigned from scratch. Experts will arrive within one or two days, after which the work will commence.
Meanwhile, the reconstruction work of the Bhuntar-Manikaran road, which was severely affected by floods, has begun.
Poklen is working to redirect the flow of the Beas River on both sides to align it with its desired direction.
When the Minister of Public Works Department, Vikramaditya Singh, visited the flood-affected areas of Bhuntar, Hathithan, and Jiya, he issued orders for road construction to ensure swift convenience for the public.
The Electricity Department has also initiated work to restore electricity in the flood-affected area.
