Today all the teachers of HPAUTA, Vasta and 11 government degree colleges gathered in the Pragati Maidan at 12 noon. There were 200 teachers from all the associations.
Executive members of HPAUTA and VASTA and Teachers’ Associations of 11 degree colleges including Vice president Dr Sanjay Jasrotia, President Dr Sujit Sarroch and Dr Nivedita Parmar, General secretary from Palampur degree college, Dr PL Bhatia from Nurpur degree college.
Protest march started at 12.30pm from Pragati Maidan and ended at 1.45 pm at SDM office.
All of the three associations handed over memorandum to SDM for further transmission to CM .
All wore the black badges during the peaceful protest March.
Teachers’ expressed their grievances over non implementation of 7th pay scale till date. Even there is no response from the goverment.
They have already met many times with CM and ministers and secretaries but got only false assurances.
This was criticised by the teachers.
Teachers’ requested to put agenda of scale in the cabinet meeting scheduled tomorrow.
If it is not announced by the Government, teachers will be going to stop all academic activities including teaching, research and extension. They have already stopped teaching and exams.
Pensioners and non teachers have already supported their protest.
Students are also supporting them as their teaching is suffering besides exams.
