INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN VIVEKA FOUNDATIONS”

Viveka Foundations celebrated Independence Day on 15th August 2022 with great joy and pomp.

On this day, a sense of happiness and pride could be seen on everyone’s faces. To mark the day,

Viveka Foundations organised several events under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav’, with the theme ‘Nation First, Always First.’ The programme started with flag hoisting by School Founder & Director Mrs Kusum Rana and School Principal Dr Mousami Thapa. A marvellous parade was shown by the School NCC Unit.

Freedom is not a gift but the responsibility to accept and maintain it to hand over to the next, freedom demands sacrifices and it is not the thing we achieve once and forget.

The programme moved to the next level with the lamp lighting & invocation of the goddess Saraswati.

 

The event took a turn with the speech by Aditya K.P.Singh, School Administrator and filled everyone with the spirit of ‘DESH BHAKTI’.

School Founder & Director Mrs Kusum Rana and School Principal, Dr Mousami Thapa honoured the students who have earned a comprehensive range of excellent individual scores in the ‘Award ceremony’ of Class X & XII students who appeared in the CBSE Examination Session 2021-22.

To enhance this feeling of enthusiasm and patriotism, young Vivekians Akshara (Class VIII), Bhairavi (Class II), Aayan Dogra, Vaishnavi (Class IV), Naksh Arora (Class VI), Anshuman & Kushboo (Class IX) gave ‘Solo Song’ performances

There were wonderful dance performances full of grace, delicacy, and patriotic energy by Tishya (Class IV), Harshita (Class VI), Dhruva, Sharanya, and Swasti (Class IV), Aaina (Class VI) and Pallavi (Class XI).

Everyone took a moment to think of the sacrifices of our ancestors and what they had to pay for freedom with the Monologue Presentation on Swami Vivekananda by Atharv Katoch of Class VIII and on Madam Bhikaji Cama by Shivanshi Sharma of Class X.

We all are so different, but there is one thing that unites us and it’s independence.

To remember this, speeches were given by Akshita, Harsh Katoch and Kavya Sood of Class X.

To commemorate the bloodshed and brutality that this great nation has endured in the past Boarding House Students of VFS presented a magnificent skit ‘Azadi Ek Gatha’.

Inter-House Quiz Competition on Tiranga was organised to promote awareness about the Indian flag. Major Somnath Sharma House secured the first position and was awarded the trophy.

Class-wise Activities – Poster Making Competition; Slogan Writing Competition and Fancy Dress Competition (Play-Way Section) were also organised. All the students participated with great pomp and show. All participants were awarded by honourable Founder & Principal Mrs Kusum Rana and School Principal Dr Mousami Thapa.

School Director addressed the gathering appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urging the students to take pride in being an Indian and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. She also emphasised the role of students today as the true wealth of our nation for which Viveka Foundations took oath on this auspicious occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to aware students of the rich Indian heritage and culture through various activities throughout the year.

School Principal, Dr Mousami Thapa bring forth the point to take responsibility and take our country towards growth & prosperity. She also motivated students with the message of “Improve Yourself”.

The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks by School Head Boy.
