Despite a daunting financial burden of 75,000 crores, the Himachal Pradesh government remains resolute in its commitment to fill 12,000 vacant teaching positions. Recently, the government granted approval to fill 6,000 of these positions, with 3,000 of them to be filled based on teacher promotions and seniority.

This announcement came from the state’s Education Minister, Rohit Thakur, during a public address at the Nagarkoti Temple premises in Chanhagal.

Minister Thakur also pledged to allocate the necessary budget promptly, providing 20% of the funds required to initiate the construction of the Science Block at the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Senior Secondary School in Basantha.

Additionally, he promised a 5 lakh rupee allocation for the construction of a concrete road leading to the Nagarkoti Temple in Chanhagal.

Education Minister Rohit Thakur held separate meetings with officials to streamline road infrastructure, drinking water plans, and other essential tasks in the region. During these discussions, he gathered detailed information about project plans and emphasized the need for budgetary provisions to execute them.

The government’s unwavering determination to address teacher vacancies in Himachal Pradesh, despite financial constraints, underscores its commitment to improving education and infrastructure in the state. This announcement signifies a positive step towards strengthening the education system and overall development in the region.
