Sukhu praised…Rashtriya Janata Dal Applauds Himachal Pradesh’s Disqualification of Defecting Congress MLAs
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) praised the disqualification of six Congress MLAs in Himachal Pradesh who switched to the BJP, hoping for similar action against turncoats in Bihar.
RJD’s national spokesperson, Manoj Kumar Jha, expressed concern over defections in Bihar and hinted at legal action if necessary.
He also criticized the BJP, alleging attempts to undermine RJD’s leader Tejashwi Yadav.
Jha mentioned an upcoming rally in Patna, expected to be attended by leaders of the Mahagathbandhan, including Rahul Gandhi.
Regarding Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Bihar, Jha raised concerns about incomplete projects and hoped for dignified speech from the PM.
He refrained from commenting on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s alliances, emphasizing Tejashwi Yadav’s approach of not harboring bitterness towards the CM or defected MLAs.
Mr. Jha emphasized the importance of maintaining a respectful tone in political discourse, particularly from leaders holding top positions. Despite the political maneuvers and shifts, he highlighted Tejashwi Yadav’s commitment to dignified conduct, setting an example for others to follow within the party.
The RJD’s stance reflects a broader concern about political integrity and stability, especially in the face of defections and alliance changes. By advocating for fair and consistent actions across states, the RJD seeks to uphold democratic principles and hold leaders accountable for their decisions and promises.
