He received his education from the prestigious Bishop Cotton School in Shimla and later earned a degree in Commerce from Symbiosis International University. From 2011 to 2013, he served as the first elected President of the Lok Sabha Youth Congress Committee, Kangra (HP). Subsequently, in 2014, he was appointed Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee and later served as its Treasurer. Currently, he holds the position of General Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.
His political journey has been marked by remarkable victories. In 2017, he registered his first electoral win by defeating BJP’s Indu Goswami, and in 2022, he once again secured a seat in the assembly by defeating BJP’s state General Secretary Trilok Kapoor. These victories reflect his growing popularity and the trust the people have in him. His appointment as the Chief Parliamentary Secretary in charge of Urban Development and Education further solidifies his crucial role in shaping the future of Himachal Pradesh.
