Ameen Sayani, the iconic voice that resonated over the airwaves of Radio Ceylon, etched his name in the annals of Indian broadcasting history. Born on December 21, 1932, in Bombay, British India, Sayani’s journey as a radio announcer revolutionized the way millions across the Indian Subcontinent engaged with music.

Tragically, yesterday, on February 20, 2023, the legendary announcer bid farewell to the world, leaving behind a void that resonates deeply in the hearts of millions.
