ORDER
Taking note of the present situation of COVID-19 in the State, in view of the initial signs of surge in cases of COVID-19 as well as increased detection of the Variant of Concern (VOC), ‘Omicron’, in different parts of the country, the undersigned in the capacity of the Chairman (SEC) in exercise of the powers conferred under section 22(2)(h) and section 24 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, hereby directs that:
1. “No Mask-No Service” policy will remain operational in the State.
2. There shall be Night Curfew in the State from 10PM to 5AM.
3. In all indoor/covered areas and open spaces including marriage palaces & banquet halls, for all social/ academic/ sports/ entertainment/ cultural/ political/
religious and other congregations are allowed with 50% of the capacity subject to adherence of the COVID-19 safety protocols and COVID appropriate behaviour. 4. Hotels & Restaurants shall remain open subject to strict adherence to COVID Appropriate Behaviour.
5. Cinema Halls/Multiplex/Sports Complex/Stadiums/Swimming Pools/ Gymnasiums shall remain closed till further order.
6. No langar shall be allowed in religious places/places of worship.
All the Departments and Organisations of the Government, District Magistrates, Police Officers/Officials and Local Authorities of the State are directed to ensure strict compliance with the directions of the SEC ibid.
Penal Provisions:
Any person violating these measures and not following COVID appropriate behavior will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides entailing legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, and other legal provisions as applicable.
This order will come into effect immediately in all districts and shall remain in force till further order.
