CSKHPKV Teachers observe 26th Day of Protest at College of Community Sciences

Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University Teachers Association (HPAUTA) and Veterinary and Animal Science Teachers Associations ( VASTA) of CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyala Palampur observed 26th day of protest at College of Community Sciences from 1.30 to 2.00 pm for immediate implementation of 7th UGC pay scale in the universities and colleges of state. Teachers were wearing black badge from 10am to 5pm.

Dr Praveen Sharma, Dr Geetanjali Singh and Dr R K Chahota addressed the members. There was a very big gathering of teachers. It was discussed regarding uncertainty of presentation of agenda item of 7th ugc pay scale in cabinet besides meeting of VC with hon’ble CM. Such situations would result in compelling teachers to stop all the activities including teaching, research and extension. Meeting of joint action committee of all universities and colleges teachers associations is expected soon for deciding the further course of action if agenda item of 7th UGC pay scale is not presented in forthcoming cabinet meeting.
