DC administers oath of goodwill to officials and employees

Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa, IAS, administered the oath of goodwill to officials and employees on the occasion of the birthday of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi at the DC Office complex on Tuesday. He also paid floral tributes and homage.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that the late Rajiv Gandhi is remembered as the creator of modern India.
During his tenure as Prime Minister, he made many visionary decisions to change the thinking of the people and society.
He reduced the voting age from 21 to 18 years to ensure active participation of youth in the democratic process.
He strongly advocated for women’s rights in the democratic process and provided 33% reservation in Panchayati Raj institutions.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Jassal, Assistant Commissioner Subhash Gautam, and various officials and employees were present on this occasion.
