Appeal to DC Kangra for Immediate Release of Sanctioned Relief Funds

KANGRA

In an urgent appeal to the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, HR Bairwa IAS, disabled individuals, widows, and other needy persons have expressed their distress over the delayed release of sanctioned relief funds.
Despite the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, approving these funds from the CM Relief Fund for their health and emergency needs, ill-fated beneficiaries are still awaiting disbursement after more than five months.
According to approval letters sent through registered post individually the relief funds were sanctioned for 11 individuals, including helpless persons like Vidya Devi, Soma Devi widow, and 80 percent disabled man Baba Ram Chand Giri from Upper Bhangwar village, near Ranital and others.
These individuals, along with others, have fulfilled all formalities but remain without the promised emergency financial support.

In a letter addressed to Rajesh Suryavanshi, Chairman of the Society for Human Welfare and the Mission Against Corruption Society, the affected individuals shared their ordeal. They have made repeated attempts to contact the DC office and the Chairman of the Red Cross Society in Dharamshala but have received no satisfactory response.
“The delay has exacerbated our struggles. We urgently need this financial assistance for our health and other emergencies. We have been left with no choice but to make this public appeal,” stated one of the beneficiaries.
The applicants have urged DC HR Bairwa to expedite the transfer of relief funds to their bank accounts or cancel the commitment altogether. “If the funds cannot be credited, we should at least not be made to wait endlessly, suffering both emotionally and financially,” they added.
The Society for Human Welfare and Mission Against Corruption Society has also called on the district administration to act promptly. “The sanctioned relief must reach the intended beneficiaries without further delay. Their plight is a matter of grave concern, and justice must be ensured,” said Chairman Rajesh Suryavanshi.
The affected individuals hope for immediate intervention by the district authorities to address this pressing issue.
