District Collector Una Raghav Sharma visited the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Saloh and inspected the site under construction and directed the officials of the Central Public Works Department to complete the construction work before the commencement of the next class session.
Director, Triple IT Salabh Kumar Surbamaniam told the Deputy Commissioner that two Boys students and one Girls student hostel, one administrative block and one academic block are being constructed, in which 50 percent of the academic block work, 65 percent of the administrative block and 70 percent of the hostel. The work has been completed. He informed that at present the third and fourth year classes are being conducted at NIT Hamirpur and the second year classes at National Institute of Information Technology, Ropar while the first year classes are being held at Devbhoomi Group of Institution Chandpur.
He said that due to shortage of laborers due to Covid 19 pandemic, the construction work has been affected but at present the war is being done on a war footing. On this occasion, Registrar Prof. Amarnath Gill and CPWD officers were present.
