Rahul Gandhi visits him to enquire about his health, prays for speedy recovery

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Thursday to enquire about the health of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He wished him a speedy recovery.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, 89, was admitted in AIMS in New Delhi after running a fever for two days and experiencing weakness.

He was admitted to the hospital for better medical care and recovery, according to Congress party sources.

As per a doctor at the hospital, his condition is stable at present. He has been admitted to a private ward of the Cardio-Neuro Tower in the hospital and is under the care of a team of cardiologists led by Dr Nitish Naik.

In photographs released by PTI, Rahul Gandhi can be seen speaking to doctors at the hospital and also greeting Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur.

UNION HEALTH MINISTER VISITS MANMOHAN SINGH

On Thursday, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya also met Manmohan Singh at AIIMS in Delhi.

In a tweet, Mansukh Mandaviya said he met former prime minister Manmohan Singh and enquired about his health.
