Today, in the concluding ceremony of North India’s first-ever Himachal Drone Conclave held in Palampur, Kangra district, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu virtually connected from Chandigarh.

The drone technology will not only benefit farmers and horticulturists but also play a crucial role in law enforcement and surveillance in various sectors.

It i noteworthy that Embracing advanced Information Technology, the state is progressing towards transformative changes in the technical field. The utilization of drones in various areas considering the challenging geographical conditions of the state will be advantageous for Himachal Pradesh.
In support of the significance of technology, Chief Minister Sukhu urged Agriculture University, Palampur, to organize demonstrations related to drone technology within its premises.
Such displays will motivate farmers to adopt modern techniques, thereby strengthening their financial condition.
He expressed hope that the positive outcomes of these efforts will be visible in the coming six months.
Extending happiness on signing the MoU for drone manufacturing in Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister assured the investors of all possible assistance from the state government. He promised to resolve all obstacles and provide necessary facilities to investors.
Additionally, the state government will also procure drones for use in the government sector.
Due to inclement weather conditions, the Chief Minister couldn’t attend the two-day Himachal Drone Conclave personally.
Nonetheless, during this occasion, five important MoUs worth 200 crores were signed. One of the MoUs was signed with FICCI to promote the use of drones in administration. Furthermore, agreements were reached with Abeco Technologies Private Limited, DroneTech Solutions Private Limited, SkyAir for unmanned traffic management, and Digital Technologies and Governance Department, CSK HPKV, and IIT Ropar for Artificial Intelligence-based Digital Precision Animal Husbandry Management, Cold Chain Management, Internet of Things (IoT), and drone technology in agriculture, respectively.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) Ashish Butail expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for organizing the Himachal Drone Conclave in Palampur.
