Palampur, January 23 – Weightlifters Kartik Parashar and Diwansh Thakur of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University have made the institution proud with their exceptional performances. The duo met the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Naveen Kumar, along with Student Welfare Officer Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda and Dr. Farhan Bhatt to share their achievements. Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda, Student Welfare Officer, praised the young athletes for their success, noting that both were selected for the North Zone Weightlifting competition. The event, held at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, saw impressive results from both players. Diwansh Thakur secured third place in the 73 kg weight category, while Kartik Parashar’s performance earned him a spot at the national level. Kartik Parashar went on to compete at the national level, where he secured an admirable 12th place. A total of five students from the university participated in this prestigious competition.
