Shimla, Himachal Pradesh – In a significant move, the Director of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), Rajeev Kumar, IAS, has announced the withdrawal of discounts for accredited media persons.

The discounts, which were allocated vide office orders No. HPTDC/Mkt/Disc.24-364921 dated 13/3/2024 and corrigendum DGM(M)99/2024 dated 25/3/2024, offered 30% discount during season and 50% during off-season on room rent, along with 30% discount on food.

However, the previously allocated 25% discount on food for accredited media persons will continue to remain in effect.

This change is effective immediately.

According to HPTDC Director Rajeev Kumar, the decision was made in line with the corporation’s policies and financial requirements.

This move is likely to impact media persons, but is expected to improve the financial situation of the corporation.
