In a remarkable demonstration of efficiency and dedication, local authorities swiftly addressed the critical issue of hazardous trees along the national highway in Palampur, ensuring public safety and convenience. The trees, located opposite Shri Anandpur Satsang Ashram in Maranda, posed significant risks to life and property.
Rajesh Suryavanshi, Editor-in-Chief of HR Media Group and National Chairman of the Mission Against Corruption Society HP, had filed requests with SDM Netra Meti, IAS, and DFO Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, IFS, urging immediate action to prevent potential accidents.
Responding promptly, both officials took up the matter seriously, expediting a process that typically spans months into just four days.
“I am immensely grateful to SDM Netra Meti and DFO Dr. Sanjeev Sharma for their swift and decisive action. Their commitment to public safety and proactive approach have undoubtedly averted potential loss of life and property,” stated Rajesh Suryavanshi.
Despite challenging weather conditions and it being a Sunday holiday, the operation was carried out seamlessly. The NHAI team, under the expert guidance of Mr. Rahul, NHAI Technical Expert Representative, safely cut down the dangerous trees. This effort was made possible through the unwavering support of several key individuals:
SDM Netra Maiti, IAS – For expediting the process and demonstrating exemplary leadership.
Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, IFS, and his team – For their prompt response and efficient coordination.
NHAI PD Vikas Surjewala – For facilitating the smooth and safe removal of the trees.
HPSEBL Authorities – For restoring the electric supply promptly, minimizing inconvenience to residents.
Rajesh Suryavanshi further expressed his gratitude, stating, “Special thanks to SDM Palampur and the DFO for their timely intervention and for valuing human life over bureaucratic delays. Their actions have set a high standard for public service and safety.”
