Bains, Bureau Chief December 30, 2020:- Elections to Panchayat Raj institutions in Una district will be held in three phases. Giving this information, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma said that elections will be held on January 17 in 86 Gram Panchayats in the first phase, January 19 in 82 Gram Panchayats in the second phase, and on January 21 in 77 Gram Panchayats in the third and final phase. DC said that candidates for the post of Panchayat representatives, BDC members and Zilla Parishad members can file their nomination papers from 31 December to 2 January. He informed that nominations for Pardhan, sub- prime, ward panch will be filed in the concerned panchayat, while nominations for panchayat committee member will be filed in the respective development block and in the concerned SDM office for the zilla parishad. He informed that nomination papers will be scrutinized on January 4, while candidates can withdraw their names on January 6 by 3 pm. Primary investigation of EVM machines on 1 and 2 January Giving information, DC Raghav Sharma said that the EVM Strong Room installed in the Mini Secretariat will be opened at 11 am on January 1 and 2 for primary screening of EVM machines. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Una and Assistant Registrar Cooperative Services have been authorized to open and close the double lock of the strong room. He told that the President / Secretary of the registered political parties should ensure their presence during this process.
