Prof Harinder Kumar Chaudhary , Vice-Chancellor held a virtual meeting today to streamline and improve ‘Farmer Advisory Services’ in the University.The Vice-Chancellor directed that all farmer advisories-fortnightly or weather based weekly advisory under the IMD project at the University or KVK level- should be released after due approval by the Director of Extension Education. The Vice-Chancellor said that in the updated website, contact numbers of scientists will be included so that farmers may seek further details on any issue given in such advisories.All questions of the farming community should be answered in simple to understand language at the earliest.He also desired that the concerned scientists should not leave this important job to SRF or contractual staff.He asked all to serve the farmers with full dedication.Director Extension Education, Dean COA, Heads of Agronomy and Vegetable Science, Prog.
