Rtn. Hari Singh, the President of Rotary Club Dharamshala briefed that the club organized an award function cum installation ceremony today.
The event was graced by the chief guest, Shri Rohit Oberoi. President Tej Singh honored Rotarians who had performed exceptionally well.
Following this, Shri Rohit Oberoi adorned Rotarian Hari Singh with the president’s collar and administered the oath of office. Joining him were Rotarian Dr. Vijay Sharma as Vice President, Shri Yash Pal Sabharwal as Vice President, N.N. Sharma as Secretary, Sunil Rana as Joint Secretary, Sangram Singh Guleria as Treasurer, Suman Luthra as Sergeant-at-Arms, Dr. Satish Sood as Admin Secretary, Tej Singh as Director-in-Chief, Shri B.S. Parmar as Director, Club Trainer, and Milap Nehria as Director, Foundation. Other directors sworn in included Advocate Prem Prasad, Dr. Yugal Kishore Dogra, R.K. Aggarwal, Ajay Kaul, Vijay Jay Karia, Dawa Phunki, Y.K. Sehgal, R.S. Rana, P.C. Bhagat, and Ashwani Sharma.
Shri Rohit Oberoi, District Governor for 2025-26, urged everyone to work together to help the underprivileged in society.
The event saw participation from various Rotary Club presidents and members, including Surinder Mohan of Rotary Club Palampur, Pranab Sachdeva of Rotary Club Dharamshala City, Naresh Lagwal of Rotary Club Shahpur, Jyoti and Sareen from Kangra, Bakshi from Palampur Dhauladhar, Madam Kashambari from Rotary Club Dharamshala Centre, and Ajay Sarotra.
Hari Singh, the new president of Rotary Club Dharamshala, assured everyone that the club remains committed to working for the underprivileged and will continue its efforts in various fields. He mentioned that, like last year, the club would run an anti-drug campaign, involve more people in the plantation drive, and promote education.
Additionally, they will work on the signature projects of District 3070. Finally, Charter Secretary Dr. Vijay Sharma thanked all the guests for their participation.
Hari Singh emphasized the importance of community service and encouraged members to actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for the less fortunate. He highlighted ongoing projects, including health camps and vocational training programs, which aim to empower individuals with skills and resources for a better future.
