Palampur is all set to witness a meaningful and energetic event, thanks to the incredible efforts of Rotarian President Surinder Mohan TATA and the Rotary Club of Palampur. In a beautiful announcement, Mr. TATA shared that a special marathon, “Run Against Drugs,” will take place on April 16, 2025. This marathon is not just a race but a powerful step towards spreading awareness and fighting against the growing menace of drug abuse, especially among the youth.

The marathon will begin at Pragati Maidan, Palampur, and finish at the scenic Neugal Café. It is thoughtfully divided into three categories to ensure everyone can participate. The first category is for youth and general participants, who will run the full route. The second and third categories are designed with care for senior citizens and women/girls, who will cover shorter distances according to their comfort and capability.

This event is a shining example of community spirit and social responsibility. President TATA and his entire Rotary Club team have worked hard to organize this mega event and deserve heartfelt praise. Their dedication to a drug-free future and commitment to social causes is truly commendable.

All residents are warmly invited to take part in this marathon. Whether you run or cheer, your presence will make a difference. The aim is not just to run, but to run with a purpose — to educate, inspire, and protect our youth from falling into the trap of drugs.

Let us come together on April 16 and support this noble cause. Hats off to TATA and the Rotary Club of Palampur for showing us the way to a healthier, safer society!

Dr. Rajesh Sood, Secretary of the Rotary Club Palampur, added, “This event is not only about running, it is about standing together against a serious issue. We believe such initiatives can ignite change in our society. Our youth need guidance and support, and we’re here to provide that.”
