Born on March 31, 1979, Raghubir Singh Bali, the Cabinet Minister of Tourism in Himachal Pradesh, has made significant contributions to the state’s political landscape.
His passion for social service was ignited in his childhood,
inspired by his father, the late cabinet Minister Vikas Purush Shree GS Bali ji, who instilled in him the motto, “Main Rahoon Yaa Naa Rahoon, Main Apne Logon Ke Dilon Mein Hamesha Zinda Rahoonga” (Whether I live or not, I shall live forever in the hearts of my people).
R.S. Bali’s remarkable ability to connect with people, from the common citizen to high-ranking officials, is widely acknowledged. After completing his education at Dalhousie Public School, DAV School in Kangra, and obtaining a degree in Hotel Management from Ramaiah College in Bangalore, he returned to Kangra in 2001, dedicating himself to the welfare of his region.
His involvement with the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) dates back to his college days. He later assumed the role of Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice-Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Board, holding a position equivalent to a Cabinet Minister.
In 2022, R.S. Bali continued his father’s legacy by running for his father’s constituency, Nagrota Bagwan, securing a resounding victory with over 42,000 votes, a record-breaking mandate in the state.
R.S. Bali’s dedication to the Congress party and his people is unwavering. He is known for his energetic, hardworking, and honest approach to governance.
He envisions Himachal Pradesh as a self-sufficient and leading state in India under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, whom he greatly supports.
