Red Cross Lucky Draw Announced During Republic Day Celebrations in Dharamshala

Dharamshala, January 26, 2025 – The much-awaited Red Cross Lucky Draw for the year 2025 was conducted today in the presence of Sh. Yadvinder Goma Ji, Hon’ble AYUSH and Sports Minister of Himachal Pradesh, during the Republic Day celebrations at the Police Ground, Dharamshala. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the public, marking a moment of excitement amidst the patriotic fervor of the national festival.

Apart from the lucky draw, a blood donation camp was organized by the District Red Cross Society, Dharamshala, aimed at encouraging voluntary blood donation. The initiative saw a commendable response from the youth, with 25 individuals stepping forward to donate blood for the noble cause. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. O.P. Sharma, Secretary of the Red Cross Society, expressed gratitude towards the donors and emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.

“This initiative reflects the spirit of service and humanity that the Red Cross stands for. We are grateful to the volunteers who came forward to donate blood today,” Mr. Sharma told India Reporter Today.

The Republic Day function was attended by several dignitaries, government officials, and members of the public, who joined in commemorating the country’s 76th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and community service. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the lucky draw winners, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion.
