Rotary Club Dharamshala Distributes School Shoes, Stationery, and Honors Students

The Rotary Club of Dharamshala, known for its philanthropic initiatives, recently organized an event where they distributed essential items to underprivileged students and honored meritorious students from various classes. The event took place at a local school and witnessed the participation of numerous students, teachers, and members of the Rotary Club.

During the event, the Rotary Club distributed school shoes to 70 deserving students, ensuring that they have proper footwear to support their education journey. The provision of shoes is crucial, as it not only enhances the students’ comfort but also promotes their overall well-being and attendance at school.

Additionally, the club provided stationary items to 100 students, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to engage actively in their studies. The donation of stationery items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential materials helps to alleviate the financial burden on students and their families, allowing them to focus on their education without worrying about acquiring basic supplies.

Furthermore, the Rotary Club recognized the achievements of 21 outstanding students from classes 6th to 12th by presenting them with mementos. These mementos serve as tokens of appreciation for the students’ hard work, dedication, and academic excellence. The club aims to motivate and encourage these students to continue striving for success in their educational endeavors.

In a special gesture, two meritorious students received two mementos each for their exceptional overall performance in the school. The Rotary Club acknowledges the significance of recognizing and rewarding outstanding achievements, as it fosters a spirit of healthy competition and motivates students to reach their full potential.

During the event, Rtn Dr. Vijay Sharma, a prominent member of the Rotary Club, pledged to award a cash prize of Rs 5000/- to a girl student who secures the first position in the upcoming March 2023-24 exams. This generous initiative not only provides a strong incentive for the students to excel academically but also contributes to empowering girls in their pursuit of education.

Additionally, Rtn YP Sabharwal ji made a noteworthy commitment to award Rs 5001/- in the form of a Fixed Deposit to the top-performing boy in the academic year 2023-24. This initiative showcases the Rotary Club’s dedication to promoting excellence and fostering a supportive environment for students to thrive.

The Rotary Club of Dharamshala expressed their gratitude towards the school management and Principal, Dr. Bhavan Sharma, for their invaluable support in organizing the event.
