In a remarkable display of unity and service to humanity, Delek Tibetan Hospital, Dharamshala, bestowed the blessings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama upon the Rotary Eye Hospital, Maranda.

The Rotary Club of Dharamshala and Delek Hospital jointly praised the exceptional efforts of the Rotary Eye Hospital in providing charitable services and affordable eye treatments to the underprivileged.

During a ceremony held at Delek Tibetan Hospital, McLeodganj, representatives from both institutions lauded Rotary Eye Hospital’s unwavering commitment to society’s welfare. They highlighted its mission to make quality eye care accessible, particularly for economically disadvantaged individuals, through cutting-edge technology and affordable treatments.

Dr. Sudhir Salhotra, one of the Top Ten Surgeons of Northern India and Surgeon of National fame and Director of Rotary Eye Hospital, Maranda, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the hospital’s dedication to accelerating efforts in serving eye patients.

“With the blessings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the support of institutions like Delek Hospital and Rotary Club Dharamshala, we are inspired to work with even greater zeal. Our focus remains on integrating ultra-modern equipment and advanced technologies to provide superior eye care services,” he said.

General Manager and an active supporter of the hospital’s initiatives, reaffirmed their solidarity with Delek Tibetan Hospital.

The camp, a collaborative effort with AOCA Japan and the Rotary Club of Dharamshala, showcased the enduring partnership between these institutions.

A special souvenir featuring a photograph of His Holiness the Dalai Lama was presented to Rotary Eye Hospital as a token of gratitude. The inscription read:

Dr. Asheesh Gupta and Dr. Rohit Garg, senior surgeons at Rotary Eye Hospital, Maranda, were acknowledged for their pivotal support during the camp.
