Today rotary club of Dhauladhar Palampur organised a mega COVID vaccination camp at PHC Maranda in collaboration with BMO Bhawarna to celebrate Rotary End Polio Day.
A Mega camp was inaugurated by Shri Satish Karwal, a renowned social reformer and philanthropist cum owner of Budhamal empire.
On this occasion Satish Karwal appreciated the work done by Rotary club of Dhauladhar Palampur and BMO Bhawarna and wished from his core of heart that polio and COVID should be eradicated from every corner of world.
This event was attended by Dr. Rakesh Chahota ji Secretary of RC Dhauladhar, Vice President Dr. Ashwani Nayital , YR Bakshi and Ajay sharma , Jeewan Naryal, Dr. Bipin Katoch and Dr. Navneet Sood.
Talking to INDIA REPORTER President of club Dr. Munish Kumar Saroch said that End Polio Day is celebrated by Rotary international every year on 24 th October to remember Dr. Salk one of inventor of injectable polio vaccine along with dr. Sabin who invented oral polio drops.
Dr. Munish Saroch President of the Club wished to Almighty God that polio should be eradicated along with COVID within one year span.
Polio at present is reported only from Pakistan and Afghanistan as last pockets , rotary members are trying their best to end polio now.
