Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been remanded to judicial custody till March 28, moved an application in court on Friday seeking the removal of a senior police officer for misconduct.
According to Kejriwal, the security staff or in-charge responsible for producing the CM before the court allegedly manhandled people around the courtroom on Friday.
The application mentioned that earlier too, while producing former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia before a court in connection with the excise policy case, a written complaint was filed against the same police officer for misconduct..
“An application has been filed on behalf of the alleged accused stating that the security staff/ in-charge responsible to produce him before the court, namely ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) A.K. Singh, is allegedly harsh and manhandled the people around the courtroom,” noted Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Court, and directed that CCTV footage be preserved.
