Himachal Pradesh Agriculture Minister Orders Enquiry into Corruption Allegations Amidst University Crisis
Shimla, August 23, 2024
The Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister of Himachal Pradesh has ordered an enquiry into allegations of corruption made by Shri Rajesh Suryavanshi, Chairman of the Society for Human Welfare & Mission against Corruption, Himachal Pradesh, amidst a crisis at the CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur.
The Minister’s office had received a representation from Rajesh Suryavanshi, along with enclosures, alleging corruption and other irregularities regarding the Vice Chancellor of CSKHPKV.
The Minister has taken cognizance of the matter and has ordered an enquiry to be conducted, now.
However, the matter of corruption has been lying pending with the State vigilance department at Dharamshala for the last year, lethargic response from vigilance department prompting Suryavanshi to represent the matter to the Agriculture minister.

Suryavanshi’s expose has brought to light the deep-seated corruption and nepotism prevalent in the higher echelons of power.
Despite repeated attempts to brush off the allegations, the evidence presented by Suryavanshi has made it impossible for the authorities to ignore the issue any longer.
The Agriculture Minister’s prompt action in ordering an enquiry into the matter is a testament to Suryavanshi’s tireless efforts to bring about transparency and accountability.
However, this is just the tip of the iceberg, and much more needs to be done to root out corruption from the system.
Suryavanshi’s crusade against corruption has earned him many enemies, but he remains undeterred. “I will not rest until those responsible are brought to justice,” he said in a statement.
The people of Himachal Pradesh are watching the developments closely, and there is a sense of hope that finally, something will be done to address the rampant corruption that has plagued the state for so long.
As the enquiry proceeds, more details are expected to come to light, and it remains to be seen how far-reaching the consequences will be.
