As you all are aware, heavy rainfall continues to occur in all districts of Himachal Pradesh. Due to the incessant rain last week, various districts have experienced significant damage due to natural disasters. Recently, due to the release of water from the Pandoh Dam, the water level in the Pong reservoir has also increased. As a result, the BBMB administration will release water from the Pong reservoir today, on 16.07.2023, at 4 PM.

Therefore, the district administration of Kangra appeals to the general public, especially the residents of the downstream areas of the Pong Dam and surrounding villages, to avoid going near the river. If anyone is near the river or has livestock near it, please immediately move them to a safe place and cooperate with the administration so that they can be protected from any potential disaster. Stay alert, stay safe, and avoid any kind of dangerous water flow. Please ensure that this message reaches the general public. Inform the local Panchayat Pradhan/Secretary/Patwari immediately in case of any emergency situation.
