Viveka Foundations Formulated the Workshop on Life Skills for Adolescent Students In deference to the ‘Youth Icon- Swami Vivekananda’.
Viveka Foundations is celebrating National Youth Week from 10th January 2023 to 17th January 2023, under which a workshop on ‘Life Skills for Adolescent Students’ was formulated on 16th January ‘2023 with expertise in this field and an influential personality Mr Vijay Kumar Director, Gunjan Organisation as Guest Speaker.
The workshop started at 11:00 am and a total of 90 students participated in the workshop. Self-awareness, body language, communication (with peers, with parents), the importance of controlling 27 types of emotions, saying ‘no’ firmly, how to keep oneself and others safe from negative peer pressure etc. were some of the topics covered by the guest speaker.
The information related to multiple complexes and the focus on building boundaries made it the most energetic session.
The workshop was also graced by the School Chairman, Col.S.S.Rana; the Part-President of Inner Wheel Club Mrs Neerja Katoch; School Founder & Director Mrs Kusum Rana and School Principal Dr Mousami Thapa.
The later part included the session with teachers in which the common problems faced by students were discussed and the need to understand the emotional behaviour of the individual student was focused.
The guest speaker emphasized that this initiative by the school needs to be supported and expressed his hope that the children and youth who attended the training would practice what they had learned and share their learning.
