Palampur, September 13

A team of doctors at the Civil Hospital Palampur successfully performed the first ever laparoscopic appendectomy in the hospital.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Mukesh Jamwal, along with Dr. Madhav Verma, Dr. Kartik Rana, and Sh. Sheelu Ota and their team.

Laparoscopic appendectomy is a minimally invasive surgery that is performed through small incisions in the abdomen.

It is a less invasive procedure than traditional open appendectomy, and it has been shown to have several advantages, including a shorter recovery time, less pain, and a lower risk of complications.

Dr. Jamwal said that he was happy to be able to perform the first laparoscopic appendectomy in the Civil Hospital Palampur. He thanked his team of doctors for their hard work and dedication.

“This is a major achievement for our hospital,” said Dr. Jamwal. “It shows that we are capable of performing complex surgeries at a high level. This will benefit the people of our community, who will no longer have to travel long distances to get the care they need.”

Dr. Meenakshi Gupta, the Medical Superintendent of the Civil Hospital Palampur, said that she was extremely happy with the success of the surgery. She said that it was a major milestone for the hospital, and it would help to improve the quality of care that is available to the people of Palampur.

“This is a historic moment for our hospital,” said Dr. Gupta. “It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our doctors and staff. We are committed to providing the best possible care to our patients, and this surgery is a major step forward in that goal.”

The patient is said to be doing well and is expected to make a full recovery.
